  Hi everyone! My name is Sophie Lyras and I'm a four-year senior at Proctor Academy. For my Senior Project, I'm going to be exploring backcountry baking. That means baking on a small camp stove or on a fire pit. There are many different techniques when it comes to baking while camping and which one you use depends on the situation you're in. I'll be sure to detail all of that in my future blog posts. I'm also going to be helping my wonderful mentor with her little bakery she runs called The Bluebird Baker. Today was just an introductory day. I went to my mentor Patty Pond's house to see her kitchen and get some supplies. Afterwards, I spent some time researching recipes and techniques. Overall I spent a total of 2 hours working today. I'm so excited to bake my first treat tomorrow, so make sure to check back in to see what I create! - Sophie
